Borders-Chaining humanity

I knew of no boundaries and no borders when I was born
I knew of no chains and no fences when I was born
All I was born with was two hands
Which rose in service to God?
All I was born with was Freedom to talk to Lord
I knew not of Hindu or Moslem, Sikh or Isai.

All I was born was, to a race called human,
Lord’s Best creation to be, and yet so insanely inhuman

Like me was one born far away on the land?
Which lay across the fence, some called it border and I saw it fenced

He too who was born knew no boundaries and knew no fences
His hands rose to apprise the Lord whom I serviced
Never did we see when the world laid rules to set us apart
Born to same kind, coming from the same world
Today we are yet so far apart

Then one day the distance grew
All caused by me and you
So much we flew away the currents so far
We really forgot who we are

Lost was the humanity
Lost was our race
We only followed the world’s disgrace
The fences hit hard on us
Borders engraved in our hearts

If only we had courage to move against the sharp currents
If only we could break the evil chains
Back we would have been to Free State
In which we were born to not long back

Then I see the skies so vast
Then I see birds that fly,
Then I see the winds that blow
No boundaries and no borders to set them apart
If only had I been a bird of sky born free,
Free would have I died
No borders and boundaries that I follow
My soul would be still free to grow and grow
