Frustrated Life

Laying on my bed,

head under my pillow,

not letting anyone know,

but tears flowing below,

can’t enjoy a moment,

though worldly comforts by my side,

this is nothing ,

but my frustrated life

My life is a game,

which I’ve always lost,

and those who won,

were all at my cost,

tired after giving thousands of tries,

But never I rested nor I sighed,

This is nothing but my frustrated life.

I loved everyone,

but was hated the most,

all sailed deep in the sea of joy,

leaving me at the coast,

hiding tears in my eyes,

I had to smile,

this is nothing

but my frustrated life.

I say many things,

but I m always unheard

and all misunderstood a lot,

though I never uttered a word,

though I m at my destiny,

it seems to walk far miles,

this is nothing,

but my frustrated life.

Where do the good times disappear,
When they have come and gone....?
Replaced with new friends, not by choice,
But cause something went wrong?

My new friends may bring with them,
Some words that make me smile,
Still I feel melancholy,
For what was once our style.

I think about times passage,
About a promise gone,
Are friendships not forever?
Meant not to last for long?

At end of each new day now,
Without a word from you....
I try to cover up the hurt,
Pretend that I'm not blue.

I try to go on with my life,
Accept you're not a part,
But sad eyes are the mirror of,
The ache that fills my heart.

Letter

With every passing season I tried

to stop myself , and yet I cried,

not for the moments we were with each other,

but for those we could’ve been together.

I wished I could just bare my heart

to the only one it longed for,

I wished I could just make a start

for the love that I so sought for.

But afraid I was to say it all,

to come to you or even make a call,

as I feared what your answer would be,

although I knew I would lose a part of me.

So I finally gave my emotions ink,

when I wrote them down in an eye’s blink.

I poured my heart out like never before,

like a sea-hungry river racing for the shore.

The words wept along with me,

to which the moist letter bears testimony.

The trembling pen pleaded me to cease

but I had to write on, to end my worries.

Then atlast I held it up high,

and admired it from each eye,

for I hadn’t written anything so fair,

and I kissed it with hopes so dear.

“He just cannot say no”,

My dear friend would say,

“and you should straight away go,

give it to him, then pray.”

And there I stood in the deserted way,

waiting for him on one end’s entrance,

to say how I have loved you with my life and soul,

and why I just could not say it all.

I heard his laughter from the other end,

how mesmerized I was by it I couldn’t pretend;

but there he entered hand in hand, with another girl,

My vision went black, and my mind was in a whirl.

I ran away as fast as I could,

But couldn’t escape my shadow of despair;

and somewhere alone, restless, I stood,

and for the world around me, I no more cared.

I knew my feelings were betrayed

by the one for whom they ever lived.

Now years after the love that I had put in verse,

The letter still lingers somewhere in my purse.

Soulmate

An angel came into my life,

Showed me way to survive,

I was almost dead before he arrived,

his gentle touch aroused in my life.

His charm is brazen,

his innocence left me frozen,

the bond exists even before it was made,

heaven wants us to be kith,

because in previous incarnation we were soul mates.

The moments spent besides him were greatly missed,

With each passing day, I yearned to see him more,

to grab his attention, dainty attire I always wore,

the savor of his presence around, delighted me profound.

In my troubled times,

his support made me smile,

holding his hands, I calmed down,

his sweet words gave feeling so warm,

because of his unconditional help, I was never harmed.

His tantalizing touch stirred my soul,

my heart turned as pure as gold,

affection intensified with each passing day,

but his faith in me just faded away.

I opened my arms and closed my eyes,

expected a hug to keep me alive,

In me his trust, I could never revive,

Leaving me alone, he departed in search of life,

Someday I believe, again we will arrive.

Binding Differences

One fine day, as He looked from above,

The pride of creation sunk – it was Earth sans love.

The hearts He had paired with skillful similarities,

had converted the art into ugly disparities.

“Let me teach by example”,

He had a brain wave and crafted a pair, to differences engrave.

Such was the contrast in nature and aim,

It almost seemed impossible they shared the same name.

Took twenty one long years for them to meet,

But steel struck steel in the very first greet.

One like the sea, turbulence personified,

The other like the ocean, with calm inside.

One was honest, to the extent of being crude,

The other weighed words to refrain from being rude.

One had a heart as soft as a child’s,

The other’s was pure but far from being mild.

A year passed by as we witnessed in awe,

With differences so stark, how eye to eye they saw.

Anger with patience, hard work with smart,

They balanced the differences – masters of the art.

Covering up for the other’s mistakes,

They set the example – the “Different” namesakes.

The virtue of acceptance – to let differences bind,

And treasure His pairs, was the message to our kind

At Times

I have seen the much darker years

in my life that shone bold on me

have seen the rivers flowing by

in the wrong side it seems

but all it takes for me to stand up to you now

is your trust that keeps my love alive

At times when you talk to me

without the words that I can hear

at times you took me all wrong

all I needed you, was to stand with me strong

and make me believe, I love you for what you are

more than the riches I can own in this life without you
